Most of the professionals that work with children daily are truly concerned about them sitting for long periods of time while watching television and want to provide help to them. Television decreases the amount of time children are in some kind of active activity. One classroom teacher actually had to teach a lesson in class with puppets behind a television-looking box to get the children’s attention. According to this article, children need people the most. They need them to get them on the right path and stop watching so much television. If we just let this go on, it can ruin their lives by the time they are adults with the choices they have made from watching television. Television is not taken very seriously to some people, but it should. It should be important to everyone that television is actually hurting your teenagers and children.
Source Analysis: There was a lot of author bias in this article. She would talk about when she was a kid and how television affected her life style. Although, she has very good research that she included into this article. The different types of propaganda used in this blog are bandwagon and plain folks. It is bandwagon because she is talking about many teenagers and how they are affected. It is plain folks because teenagers are normal people dealing with the same problem all over. Everyone can relate to this issue. A text element in there is that five hours a day, sixty hours a week for millions, television is being watched all over the country.
