Author's Quote:Researchers concluded by urging parents to remain highly involved in teens' lives, including keeping up to date on young people's television viewing habits and interests. In one of the study's more optimistic findings, researchers had noted that those teens who understood their parents disapproval of premature sexual activity were less likely to become sexually active than their peers who did not receive frank and open communication from parents.
Paraphrase:One of the bad effects television has on teenagers is sexual activity. Parents need to be apart of their teenager’s lives. If they are, they can help prevent bad things from happening to their teens. It has been proven by professionals that if teenagers know that their parents disapprove of them having sex at such a juvenile age; they are not as probable to have sex at an immature age as much as other youth who have not received concern and conversations from their parents about this topic.
Summary of Article: In this article, I have found a numerous facts about my topic. This article focused mostly on teenagers being more sexually active from watching television. Researchers have found that teenagers are twice as likely to have sex at a young age if they watch television a lot. This is a chilling statistic and it proves that there is a true problem. Researchers encourage parents to become involved in their teens life to help prevent the negative effects that can occur. This article was very helpful to me and provided information I could not find elsewhere.
Source Analysis:In this article, the author was not really biased. This article was based off of facts and research, not opinion. Some of the propaganda techniques used in this article would be bandwagon and plain folks. It is bandwagon because the article was talking about many teenagers going through the same problems, not just one. It is plain folks because these are normal, real families that are having issues with this. One of the text elements that are in this article is the research and statistics that are used in here. One piece of research would be that twice as many teenagers have sex if they watch a lot of television.

Katie, I agree with the research results presented in this article. I believe this is true, because the more parents communicate with their daughter/son, the more understanding there will be in the relationship. I think parents not just teens should watch what type of televisions shows are currently on television. Good job!(:
